Company 5 members reflected back on 9/11 and paid respect at several local memorials today. The department was represented in Richmond for the Richmond Remembers, 9/11 Stair Climb, hosted by the City of Richmond Fire Department. Members climbed a total of 110 stairs, just as the 343 FDNY Firefighters did in 2001. The second event was a memorial planting at Twin Lakes State Park. Members assisted park rangers in planting two bushes along with a wooden plaque in remembrance of 9/11. The final event of the evening was the dedication of the Prince Edward County Emergency Services LODD memorial at the Prince Edward County Court House.
Reflect. Revere. Remember.
