Company 5 - Goat Rescue
Thu. Sep 15th 2011

On September 15 @ 15:38 a local citizen contact Station 5 reference to have a injured goat that had fallen down a dam. Squad 5 arrived @ 15:44 with 503 (Capt. Pyle) in command. Crews worked with the homeowners to assess the best way to move the goat. After assessing the animals injuries it was found that the best way to attempt to move the animal would be as he laid. Crews put together a stokes basket with backboard, blankets and webbing to secure the animal. After secure the animal, crews were able to carry the goat safely to the barn to seek medical attention. Command marked the incident under control @ 16:07, and terminated the incident @ 16:16, returning Squad 5 to service.
