On October 30 @ 11:49 Meherrin Rescue was dispatched for a male with a possible CVA. On arrival of Rescue 5-8 the dispatch was confirmed and Life-Evac 1 was requested to launch to the Meherrin Heli-pad. Squad 5 arrived at the heli-pad @ 12:32 with Meherrin 505 (Lt. Taylor) in command. Life-Evac 1 was on the ground @ 12:58 and patient care was transferred. Command terminated the incident @ 13:06 and returned units to service.

Company 5 responded to Washington Street in Meherrin for the report of smoke from a vent in a residence. Engine 5 arrived to find a single story structure with nothing showing. Investigation by members revealed no smoke or fire evident, that a heater was activated and caused the initial smoke.

On November 4th @ 12:58 Company 5 - Meherrin (1st due) and Company 2 - Hampden Sydney (2nd due) were dispatched to the 13000 block of Farmville Road for a reported shed/barn fire. An arriving POV unit advised the fire was out and homeowner was requesting the sturture to be checked.

On October 19 Meherrin 505 (Lt. Taylor) ran up on a MVA on Farmville Road near Mud Dusty Road. 505 advised it was a single vehicle down an embankment with no injuries. Meherrin Fire was dispatched and Squad 5 arrived @ 07:17 with 505 in command.

On January 10, Company 5 & Company 2 were dispatched for a reported garage fire. Squad 5 arrived to find a 8x10 shed with light smoke showing from the "A" side. Crews stretched an attack line and made entry into the shed to find no fire just smoky conditions.
