On September 18th @ 15:24 Meherrin Fire was requested to secure the Meherrin Heli-Pad for Charlotte Rescue for a medical fly out. After Charlotte comfirmed they would use our pad Squad 5 arrived @ 15:42 with Meherrin 502 (Asst. Chief Pyle) in command. Pad was secured and Med-Flight 1 was on the ground @ 15:58. Patient care was transferred and command terminated the incident @ 16:16 with Med-Flgiht 1 airborne.

to be in compliance with Presidential Homeland Security Directive 5 that was put in effect after the September 11th, 2001 attacks in New York City.
