Meherrin Volunteer Fire & Rescue is a 24/7 full service public safety agency. Our department provides fire suppression, rescue/extrication services, public education, fire prevention, and both Basic & Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Service in both Lunenburg and Prince Edward Counties.

to be in compliance with Presidential Homeland Security Directive 5 that was put in effect after the September 11th, 2001 attacks in New York City.
